I officially have been out driving on the road! Well, through Murdoch University but still! There were other cars!
On the 31st of July we started off in the Murdoch University car park and as we approached a stop sign where I would usually turn right, Dad told me to turn left! I looked at him as if to say, "Are you sure about this?" So I turned right and accelerated up the hill and stopped to realise that the Murdoch University car "Eyes On The Street" was a little bit up the road to my right and I can tell you right now, I'm not too fond of him! Dad just told me that I have to get used to having cars behind me no matter what type of car it is or who's driving so I turned the corner and drove towards the bus stops where it was only 25km/h so it wasn't too stressful! I then continued to go straight up towards the roundabout where the retiring homes are and went around the whole roundabout and continued driving back towards the bus stops but turned right and headed towards school instead of going straight. At this point I panicked because there was a car right behind me and as I looked down at the speedometer I realised that I was going 60km/h through a 40km/h zone and I had to slow down so with my first car behind me I slowed down and turned the corner and let out a sigh of relief when the car didn't follow! I headed towards school and as I reached the entrance, Dad and I realised that the gate was locked and I had to try and do a full turn otherwise I would've ended up on Farrington Road! With a bit of accelerating and reversing I managed to do it! I headed back towards Murdoch University and drove past the sheep, cows and horses all the way to the main roundabout where you first drive past when you drive into school coming off Murdoch Drive and turned left and did the same route about 3 times before I had to finish for the day because we had people coming over!:)

Well done! so are you still in an automatic car? i tend to go over the speed limit sometimes in automatic cars without realising :S are you going to do some driving lessons with a driving school?
ReplyDeleteThank you!:) Yeah, I'm still driving an automatic, Dad doesn't even think that I'm confident enough to go on the busy roads yet although he's probably right, haha. Yeah, it's so easy to go over the speed limit because you're too busy focusing on the road! I don't know yet, depends if my parents think I need it and want to pay for it, haha.:)
